Description

The Marine Transport Squadron 152 (VMR-152) are an air transport squadron of the USMC specializing in the transportation of personnel, equipment, and supplies. VMR-152 operates the R4D Skytrains, known popularly as the C-47 Douglas as designated by the army. The squadron most notably reinforced the marine divisions during the Battles of Guadalcanal, Bougaineville, and Okinawa with great distinction.
