Description
Ode to a Sock That Ran Away I had a sock, just one, not two, It vanished quick — I’ve no darn clue! It left a note (in scribbled ink): “I’m off to find a kitchen sink!” It packed a spoon and half a grape, Put on a hat in pirate shape, Sailed down the stairs with mighty flair, Then tripped and flew into the air! Now every time I do my wash, I hear a giggle… then a splosh! I think it's hiding, bold and free— My sock is living more than me!
