------------------------------------------ The World We Knew Is Gone ------------------------------------------ In the year 2045, the Earth was unexpectedly hit by a series of solar flares. These flares scorched the Earth's surface, turning much of the Equator into a desert. Billions of people died, cities desolated. The world was devastated from this event. Millions of people were left without shelter, food, or water. The world was in a state of chaos and disorder. The remaining governments pulled together and created the Post-Flares Coalition to try and rebuild the world. Communities began to pull together. People were beginning to rebuild, resettle. Then the virus hit. Deadly and highly contagious, the disease spread across the lands. At first, it killed quickly and viciously. However, it began to mutate. Prolonging it's lifespan. Those who caught it began to slowly go insane, cannibalistic. It quickly picked up the nickname, The Flare.
