Description
As an airborne infantry battalion, the 2nd Battalion, Parachute Regiment are the rapid response force of the regiment. Our role is to deploy quickly into hostile and challenging environments through airborne assaults, air mobility operations, and frontline combat missions. Through intense training and discipline, we provide commanders with a highly capable force ready to secure objectives, conduct raids, and support allied operations across the battlefield. Soldiers in 2 PARA are trained in advanced infantry tactics, urban warfare, reconnaissance, and support weapons operations. They are equipped to operate in demanding combat situations using modern military equipment while upholding the proud airborne traditions symbolized by the maroon beret and Pegasus insignia.
