Description
The Free State of Hertilanda is a militarized frontier state built upon discipline, resilience, and earned authority. Rising from the legacy of the fallen Vultic Sultanate, Hertilanda values proven leadership over noble birth, expecting its commanders to fight beside their soldiers rather than behind them. Its armies draw inspiration from Renaissance Landsknechts, fielding disciplined Legionista clad in black-and-gold slashed clothing beneath polished armor, while officers often wear full plate as symbols of both rank and responsibility. Fortified towns, skilled metalworkers, and a culture of self-reliance define the nation. The golden shield bearing the crimson trident-and-sun serves as the Lord-Knight's heraldic device, while the enduring spirit of Vulta lives on in Hertilanda's people, fortresses, and armies.
