Description
Status: INACTIVE With the onset of the Cold War, two rival superpowers emerged: NATO and the USSR. While these two multinational factions fought proxy wars, their anomalous counterparts were involved in an underground war in the anomalous world. Following the dissolution of the USSR, the North Atlantic Abnormal Recovery Organization (NAARO) has spread its scope of operations to not only what was formerly the Eastern Bloc, but also independent anomalous organizations, such as the Foundation and the Serpent's Hand. While NAARO's principles of acquiring anomalies to contain threats posed by nuclear-capable states is often condemned by many paranormal groups, they maintain a hostile stance with the United Nations, although in the public view, they claim to be allies.
