Description
Established on November 7, 1950, as a specialized unit of the Philippine Navy, has played a pivotal role in the nation's defense and internal security. From its early engagements in the Korean War as part of the Philippine Expeditionary Forces to Korea to its extensive involvement in counter insurgency operations against communist rebels and secessionist movements in Land of Promise, the PMC has demonstrated versatility and resilience. The First Marine Brigade of the Philippine Marine Corps, also known as the "Ready Force" was established to serve as a rapid-deployment unit capable of addressing a wide range of military and humanitarian challenges. Stationed primarily in Land of Promise, the brigade has been at the forefront of critical national security operations. It has played a decisive role in counter-insurgency campaigns against communist and Moro separatist groups, significantly contributing to the stabilization of conflict-prone areas.
