Description

Amphibious Naval Scouts also are known as Scouts and Raider nicked name Frog men. Was a joint Marine Corps–Army–Navy unit. They trained at Amphibious Training Base Little Creek in Virginia before going to Africa for more training. the marine Amphibious scouts were needed in pacific as war raged on later us army pulled out to leaving navy to become the Naval scouts and raiders. Fighting in Pacific and scouting out the Normandy landing. Saw combat at: Gilbert island and North Africa, was at Normandy but only to scout.
