welcome to the carowinds fan club, a group dedicated to the thril capital of the southeast. discussions like what rides will we get or what rides we like will be posted. ------------------------------------------- INFO: Carowinds is a parked located on the border of Charlotte, NC and Fort Mill, SC. Carowinds is owned by cedar fair, the same company that owns parks such as Cedar Point and Canada's Wonderland. Carowinds started out as a dream of a man named E. Patterson Hall. Carowinds was built in 1973 and designed by the same people as walt disney world. For 39 years, carowinds has offered some of the best thrills, from the harrowing mine trine Goldrush, to the Intimidator, the tallest, fastest, longest coaster in the southeast.
