Description
The PET Special Intervention Unit (Politiets Aktionsstyrke) is a specially trained unit tasked with maintaining the operational counter-insurgent response capacity. It is the task of this unit to help fight insurgency and serious organized crime and to provide sound options for the police to resolve complex intervention assignments. Politiets Aktionsstyrke assignments comprise hostage rescue, counter-insurgency efforts, high-risk arrests and complex intervention assignments. In certain situations, the tasks are solved in close co-operation with units from the Danish Armed Forces, assisting with both personnel and equipment.
