Social Darwinism was the 19th century justification for imperialism in Africa, the Americas, and Asia. The definition of Social Darwinism is: “Survival of the fittest applied to society.” Due to the fact that Africa was not industrialized, and was not as socially, economically, and technologically advanced as most European nations were, Africa was colonized in order to feed the ever-growing industries of Europe. “The White Man’s Bu. r den is like the Communist Manifesto of European Colonization. It justifies the exploitation of foreign lands as “Civilizing the heathen savages.” A sense of superiority rose in Europe, and thus racism began. To this day, the ###### improvisations caused by Social-Darwinism affects the world very negatively in events of mass destruction of races.
