Description
The Imperial Japanese Military Police was responsible for enforcing the laws and regulations of the Imperial Armed Forces, in contrast to the regular Imperial Japanese Police, which had authority over cases that only involved civilians. In practice, the Imperial Japanese Military Police functioned as a secret police force.
