The Holy Apostolic Catholic Assyrian Church of the East ܥܕܬܐ ܩܕܝܫܬܐ ܕܫܠܝܚܐ ܘܟܬܘܠܝܩܝ ܐܬܘܪܝܬܐ ܕܡܕܢܚܐ The Assyrian Church of the East traces its origins to the missionary work of the Apostles Thomas, Thaddeus, and Bartholomew, who brought the Gospel to Mesopotamia, establishing one of the earliest Christian communities beyond the Roman Empire. Flourishing under the Persian Empire, the Church developed a rich theological and liturgical tradition, rooted in the Syriac language and distinct from both Roman and Byzantine Christianity.
