This is a group for diabetics and supporters where you can share your story with others suffering from this cruel disease. __________________________________ Type I diabetes: Type I diabetes, once known as juveline diabetes, is an autoimune disease, in which the pancreas stop producing insulin, which is a hormone needed to allow sugar (glucose) to enter cells and produce energy. Type I diabetes has nothing to do with lifestyle and is instead connected to genes and the immune system. __________________________________ Type I I diabetes: Type I I diabetes is a disease often developed due to an unhealthy lifestyle, but can also be genetic. Many develop the disease due to being overweight and having lack of exercise, as well as taking in to much sugar or having an unbalanced and unhealthy food balance. When you have type I I diabetes, your pancreas produces less insulin then what is needed.
