Description
The Galactic Republic, also known as the Grand Republic or simply the Republic, was a democratic federal union that spanned thousands of star systems across light-years of space. Founded to promote unity, peace, and cooperation among diverse worlds, the Republic was governed by the Galactic Senate, where each member system was represented. Dedicated to upholding law, justice, and stability, the Republic relied on diplomacy and shared governance to resolve conflict, while maintaining institutions such as the Jedi Order and, during times of war, the Grand Army of the Republic to defend the galaxy from threats both foreign and internal.
