𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐓𝐄𝐗𝐀𝐍 𝐀𝐑𝐌𝐄𝐃 𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐂𝐄𝐒 Founded during the Texan War of Independence in early spring in 1836, the Republic of Texas spanned far North into parts of the current U.S. states of Oklahoma, Kansas, Colorado, Wyoming, and New Mexico belonged to the Republic, and with a estimated population of 50,000 in the year of 1840. In risk of a devastating war and invasion by the Mexican State to reclaim the stolen land stripped away from them, many Texans enlisted and were ready to serve and protect their country they once fought so hard for.
