It is responsible for the daily management of the Army and Navy, the continuous study of all aspects of war, and for drawing up and reviewing plans for mobilization or campaign. Founded in 1868 during the unification of New France, the Imperial General Staff prides itself in its formal selection of its officers by intelligence and proven merit rather than patronage or wealth, which has led it to countless victories since the Empire's unification. ■▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ஜ⚜†⚜ஜ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬■ "𝙎𝙘𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙖 𝙥𝙤𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙖 𝙚𝙨𝙩"
