Description
The Somali Socialist Republic (SDR) was a state in Africa that existed between 1969-1991. In the 70s it was known for it's dominance in African airpower in the region, as well as receiving massive soviet military aid. Somalia also had equal rights for men and women and tried to move the country forward by abolishing the clan system. However, in 1978 it began an invasion of Ethiopia against the USSR's wishes. Motto: "Soomaaliyeey Toosoo"
