Description
𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐭 𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐡ä𝐬𝐭 𝑯ö𝒈𝒕 𝒑å 𝒆𝒏 𝒉ä𝒔𝒕. High on a horse. The regiment was raised on 20 February 1770 by Jacob Magnus Sprengtporten as the Finnish Light Dragoon Corps (Finska lätta dragonkåren). In 1773 the corps was increased to 250 men, and was given the name Life Guards of Horse (Livgardet till häst) and was based partly in Stockholm, partly in Borgå, Finland.
