The MTPD is unique in U.S. law enforcement as it is the only U.S. police agency that has police authority in relation to the metro system in three different jurisdictions: Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia. We Strive to protect our riders and staff, and keep our tracks and cities clean from crime.
