They are considered an "unclean spirit", which can cause demonic possession and can be expelled by ritual exorcism. Don't forget the fact that Demonics is a faction only for people who were terribly treated by humans, by society. Thanks to this we became demons solely to avenge the fallen to make the world fairer.
