𝐋𝐈𝐆𝐀 𝐃𝐎𝐒 𝐁𝐎𝐌𝐁𝐄𝐈𝐑𝐎𝐒 𝐏𝐎𝐑𝐓𝐔𝐆𝐔𝐄𝐒𝐄𝐒 A Liga Nacional dos Bombeiros Sapadores do Reino de Portugal e dos Algarves é o órgão máximo de coordenação técnica e institucional dos corpos de bombeiros sapadores municipais do Reino, sob a supervisão do Ministério do Interior e da Administração Local. A Liga tem por missão assegurar a articulação operacional, técnica, formativa e disciplinar das companhias de sapadores em território nacional, promovendo a eficácia e a excelência dos serviços de socorro urbano e proteção civil. A autoridade superior da Liga é o Comandante-Geral dos Bombeiros Sapadores, nomeado por Carta Régia sob proposta do Ministro do Interior. “E se o sino tocar, correm eles, como os santos, pela salvação do povo.”
