Description

The Honda clan were descendents of the Fujiwara settled in Mikawa. They ruled over the strongholds of Okazaki, Kuwana, and Otaki and served as first-class retainers to the Tokugawa Clan. Their most famous patriarch was Honda Tadakatsu, who served in all of Tokugawa Ieyasu's campaigns and was famous for the antlers on his helmet and his 'Dragonfly Cutter' spear. Many Honda were Pure Land Buddhists and some even fought on behalf of the Ikko-Ikki during the Battle of Azukizaka.

Growth

2 measurements spanning 77 days, net +1. Dots are measurements; the straight line between them is drawn to join them, not to claim we know the path taken in between — snapshots are recorded only when a count changes, so gaps mean “no change observed”, never “interpolated”. The vertical axis spans 21–22 and does not start at zero.
