It was soon renamed “Royal Corsican Regiment”, remaining untouched as Joseph left Naples, it was able to perform as one of the french empires best counter guerrilla units in Spain. Under Murat it moved on to serve in the Italian campaign of 1809, Russian campaign of 1812, and now serves in Germany soon to see a great battle at Leipzig.
