相撲協会 Sourudipu Sumo Association ======================================================= Sumo (lit. “striking one another") is a form of competitive full-contact wrestling where a rikishi (wrestler) attempts to force his opponent out of a circular ring (dohyō) or into touching the ground with any body part other than the soles of his feet (usually by throwing, shoving or pushing him down). It has a history spanning many centuries and retains much of its ancient traditions and ritual elements going back over a thousand years. ======================================================= Here the aspiring Rikishi of Sourudipu train and learn the art of sumo so that they may participate in regular activities with both profession and resolve.
