Description
Leib-Gvardii Yeger Regiment (circa 1813) The Leib-Gvardii Yeger Regiment was one of the elite light infantry regiments of the Russian Imperial Guard. Raised to serve as highly mobile skirmishers and reconnaissance troops, it combined the prestige of the guard with the agility of specialized riflemen. Known for strict discipline, rapid maneuvering, and proficiency in difficult terrain, the regiment played a crucial role in flanking operations, reconnaissance, and supporting the heavy guard units in battle. In addition to battlefield duties, it participated in ceremonial functions and upheld the honor and reputation of the Imperial Guard within the military hierarchy.
