The Army of Sri Kidurong was established in 1830 to defend the Kingdom of Sri Kidurong, a fictional state located in northern Sarawak (Bintulu). Originally formed under the Brunei Sultanate’s protection, it became a fully independent force in 1835 following the kingdom’s separation from Brunei, prior to the arrival of James Brooke.
