Judiciary of the West Indies Since its founding in 1958, the Judiciary of the West Indies has worked to uphold fairness in the eyes of the law across the Federation. The judiciary is led by a Chief Justice, alongside two Justices of the Federal Supreme Court. The trial court consists of a Magistrates' Court made up of Magistrates. The Federal Supreme Court is seated in the Federation's capital of Bridgetown, Barbados.
