Description
𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐄𝐋𝐃-𝐁𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐄𝐑𝐒 ; 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐇𝐘𝐏𝐀𝐒𝐏𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐈 ▬ 🛡️ The Hypaspistai of Epirus stand as the chosen shield-bearers of the king, serving as the disciplined elite between the charging cavalry and the iron ranks of the Phalangitai. Trained in both open battle and swift assault, these warriors embody the flexibility and precision of the Epirote army, fighting wherever the line is weakest or the enemy strongest. ⚔️ Under the banners of Pyrrhus of Epirus, the Hypaspistai earned renown as relentless warriors who guarded the flanks of the phalanx, stormed fortifications, and struck with deadly coordination beside the king himself. Their bronze shields and disciplined formations became a symbol of Epirote strength and royal authority across Greece and Italia alike. 🤝 To join the Hypaspistai is to swear loyalty not only to Epirus, but to the king and the honor of the Epirotes. Highly selective unit and requires to be handpicked by the Basileus himself!
