Description
The Flying Gang (or the Pirate Republic of Nassau) was an 18th-century group of pirates who established themselves in Nassau, New Providence and the Bahamas after the War of the Spanish Succession and the sinking of the Spanish 1715 Treasure Fleet. They established their own code of conduct and governed themselves loosely and independently from any colonial power at the time.
