Ia menjadi tokoh penting di masa pemerintahan Raja Bone ke-6 La Uliyo Bote’e dan Raja ke-7 Tenri Rawe BongkangngE karena pemikiran-pemikirannya tentang hukum, pemerintahan, serta tata negara yang disebut “Pangngadereng” dalam budaya Bugis. Pemikiran beliau dijadikan acuan dalam pemerintahan dan hubungan antar kerajaan.
