𝙍é𝙜𝙞𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙇𝙤𝙮𝙖𝙡-É𝙢𝙞𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙩 Loyal-Emigrant Regiment Raised in 1793 as part of the counter-revolutionary army the regiment, 600 men in total would land in Ostend on June 6, 1793. Fighting in numerous engagements against the French from 1793 - 1794 the Loyal-Émigrant regiment, would always end up at the most perilous outposts of the English army. Later on, followed by the landing in Quiberon in 1795 a last-ditch effort to start a counter-revolution in France by royalist regiments raised in the United Kingdom the regiment would almost be completed wiped out in the campaign. Ultimately resulting in failure eventually the idea of liberating France would fade into obscurity. The Loyal-Emigrants would be sent to Portugal in 1801, to support the Portuguese army on its borders. Veterans of this regiment and of the regiments of Castries and Mortemart were incorporated into the company of foreign invalids from the Isle of Wight. 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗶𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 1793 - 1801
