---The Roman Empire--- The Roman Empire was the most largest and most powerful nation to rule the middle east, Germany, England, France, and Egypt. The Roman Empire was started off as the Republic of Rome founded on the River near Current day Rome. Legend has it it was founded by brothers whom are supposed to of been raised by wolves. They were governed by a Senate, witch was soon and easily corrupted. Julius Caesar, a Legionnaire General. Soon he became a rebel to the senate and they demanded he resign, Caesar refused, crossed the River and Took over power. He declared himself dictator for life (Emperor). Soon Rome was prosperous and the Senate with less power. He is responsible for the invasion of Egypt. He was assassinated by the Senate after he returned from Egypt. His son, Julia Augustus Caesar took over power. He did not invade much territory, but he launched Rome to their "Golden Age" or "Peace full Period".
