Viceroyalty of Al-Kabah #726253
Description
A British-controlled town in Arabia. =================================== Viceroy: His Excellency, Lord Eldred Strathspey Commander of the Garrison: Major (None) Military Attache: Colonel CptDummy =================================== Founded in Biblical times by roving traders, the souk at the Al-Kabah oasis soon grew into a thriving city, dealing in spices, crops and fine cloth. Originally part of the Roman Empire, the Ottomans took control of the city in 1878 after a brief diplomatic crisis. The gates of the city fell to General Allenby's army in the late October of 1917; the city became a British colony after the war, being governed by the current Viceroy, Eldred. A small garrison is quartered in the old Turkish fort, and a European district is maintained, with the Viceregal Palace being the centre for administration. =================================== Openings for: Civil Servants and Viceregal staff, Business Owners, Military Garrison. =================================
