de Carteret Household #727909593
Description
"Sola Nobilitas Virtus" The Lyndon Household descends from the line of Barry of Barryogue and the line of Lyndon of Henderskelfe. Formed as a result of the marriage between Redmond Barry, Esq. and Lady Honoria Lyndon, Viscountess Hamilton in 1773, the household has a rich history of rogues and adventurers traveling through the high society of England, imitating wherever possible the those elements of refinery and sophistication that they can grasp. By 1898, Redmond Lyndon II, after performing services in the Natal Colony, including work as Prime Minister and Minister of Settlement Affairs in the regional government, been raised to the title of Duke of Abercorn. A branch of the family continues to exist in Scotland, relocated during the 1820s, and is extant with the name Hetherington-Carruthers and the title of Marquess of Bute and Earl of Dumfries. County Seat: Baronscourt, Ireland Head of the Household: His Grace The Duke of Abercorn Heir apparent: The Marquess of Hamilton
