Description
𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐮𝐬 The Continental Navy was established by the Continental Congress on October 13, 1775, as the maritime force of the American colonies during the Revolutionary War. Created to disrupt British supply lines, protect colonial commerce, and support military operations, it began with converted merchant ships and grew to include purpose-built frigates and foreign vessels. Though vastly outmatched by the Royal Navy, the Continental Navy conducted daring raids, captured enemy ships, and transported diplomats and supplies across the Atlantic.
