Description
The Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) is a headquarters-level staff element of the U.S. Senior Command. Serving as the principal advising board to senior leadership, OSD assists in carrying out authority and direction of the U.S. Armed Forces in the exercise of policy development, planning, resource management, fiscal, and program evaluation responsibilities. Primarily, the OSD also serves as a central forum for the review, discussion, and advancement of initiatives, concerns, and proposals submitted by U.S. Armed Forces members of all uniformed services. MEMBERSHIP! You must be appointed by Senior Command in order to hold a position in the Office.
