Description
Summary ------------ Three regiments of Neumark landwehr were raised in 1813. Recruits were taken from all fit men between the ages of 17 and 40 although ####### men were often excluded. Equipment at the beginning of the campaign was basic and some men were armed with pikes, but losses and captured French stores solved this problem. While the landwehr performed poorly at the beginning of the campaign by the end many of the battalions fought well and some were considered as good as the line regiments.
