The Lockridge Institute of Law Enforcement Training, otherwise known as LILET, is responsible for training and certification of all aspiring peace officers within the state. The academy is headed by a director, who in turn manages the staff of the academy. Applications for admittance open approximately once a month. Gaining a certification from this department is a requirement for law enforcement employability.
