Description
THE LICTORS GUILD The Lictor's main task was to attend as bodyguards to magistrates who held imperium. They carried rods decorated with fasces and with axes that symbolized their power to execute. They followed the magistrate wherever he went, including the Forum, his house, temples and the baths. It was his duty to protect him from any enemy. You are a representative of the power within the SPQR.
