Description
👑 Kurfürstentum Sachsen 👑 🧭 C. 1757 The Electorate of Saxony in 1757 offers an authentic immersive experience during the Seven Years' War. As one of the Holy Roman Empire's most prestigious territories, Saxony stood at the crossroads of power and culture. Under Elector Frederick Augustus II, who also ruled as King of Poland, the electorate embodied a sophisticated blend of German tradition and Central European influence. Its capital Dresden was renowned as the "Florence on the Elbe" for magnificent architecture and cultural achievements. Despite being caught between Prussian and Austrian ambitions, Saxony maintained its distinctive character through resilient leadership and a disciplined military establishment. The Saxon army exemplified European warfare of the era, while prosperous cities reflected centuries of careful governance and economic development
