Description

THE LICTORS GUILD The Lictors were a Roman class of magisterial attendants who protected magistrates who held imperium. They cleared his way in crowds and summoned and punished offenders for him. They followed the magistrate wherever he went, including the Forum, his house, temples and the baths. It was his duty to protect him from any enemy.
