Description
The CTSFO teams deal with MPS and National firearms operations. They provide firearms support to borough and specialist units. They are multi skilled and can deliver all elements of armed policing, including operations to combat major crime, hostage taking and armed response. All CTSFOs have previously served as ARV officers. All officers will be required to listen to higher ranking officers .Their role includes armed response and hostage rescue. Like TSTs, CTSFO teams provide firearms support to other Met specialist units and may operate in both an overt and covert manner. CTSFO teams are on standby to respond to a dangerous or major crime incident both in London and at the National level.
