During ”Recruitment”, a variety of young boys from the Balkans including Albanians, Bosnians, Bulgarians, Croats, Greeks, and Serbs were taken by theqqqq Ottomans, converted to Islam, and put into the Empire’s Army. Later in time, serving as the Sultan’s personal military and tasked with his overall defense. They are considered to be an elite division within the Ottoman Empire. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
