Description
The Psiloi are the swift-footed skirmishers of Tegea, serving as the first line of contact before the phalanx advances. Armed with bundles of javelins, a short sword, and little to no heavy armor, they rely on speed, agility, and precision rather than brute force. Trained to harass enemy formations, disrupt advancing troops, and exploit rough terrain, the Psiloi weaken opposing forces before the hoplites engage in close combat. Though lightly equipped, they are disciplined warriors whose courage and mobility make them an indispensable part of the Tegean army, embodying the resourcefulness and resilience of Arcadia's rugged highlands.
