𝐃𝐄𝐔𝐗𝐈𝐄́𝐌𝐄 𝐂𝐎𝐑𝐏𝐒 German Line Infantry 𝐒𝐔𝐌𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐘 With modernization along French lines, the newly organized infantry marched with the French after the creation of the Kingdom of Westphalia, which joined the Confederation of the Rhine in 1807. The Westphalian infantry regiments formed the backbone of Confederation of the Rhine armies, forming an entire Corps in the Russian invasion of 1812. As line infantry, the men are expected to fight in tight, disciplined formations, using punishing volleys of musket fire.
