After years of covert construction under the glare of Proxima Centauri’s red light, Site-944 "Centauri Gate" was completed beneath the rocky crust of Proxima b. The facility serves as both a research station and an interstellar quarantine barrier, intercepting anomalous entities and phenomena before they can approach Earth. Staffed by multi-national Foundation personnel and maintained by autonomous support AIs, Centauri Gate represents humanity’s most isolated outpost, positioned at the threshold between known space and the dark unknown beyond.
