The X Distortion #7472826
Description
The X Distortion emerged in the waning centuries of the Old Republic, long after the Sith had gone into hiding and the Jedi Order had grown complacent. The faction began as a secretive circle of Force theorists and cyberromances — scholars, ex-Jedi, and rogue technologists — who believed that the Force itself was data, a manipulable waveform that could be rewritten through resonance and distortion. Their founder, "The Chosen One" was once a Jedi Consular who specialized in Force resonance studies. During an expedition into the Deep Core, "The Chosen One" encountered an anomaly known as the Phase Rift, a tear in the Force where sound, light, and gravity folded in impossible ways. When 'The Chosen One" returned, they spoke of having seen the “Source Pattern,” a lattice underlying the Force that could be reprogrammed. The Jedi Council declared the teachings heretical, and ''The Chosen One" vanished — taking dozens of followers with them.
