▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ First Infantry Division ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ The first apparition of this division is back in 1916 when Ferdinand the I of Romania ordered the formation of this division to attack Transylvania that was occupied, during those times, by Austro-Hungary. In WW1 they fought mostly in Transylvania but they saw action at Turtucaia, Mărăști, Mărășești, Oituz and the Defense of Moldavia. Divizia I Infanterie "Dacica" disbanded after WW1 but reformed in 1941 during the Invasion of the Soviet Union.
