Description
The State of the Church, also known as, The Papacy or The Papal States, was an Italian state founded in the middle of the 8th century and disappeared in 1870. {__________________________Victorian Era____________________________} It's 1848 and most of Europe is experiencing revolutions. In Italy, like many other countries, the revolutionaries want to overthrow the noble families from the throne of oppressive monarchical states. In our situation a group of noble families and other supporters of Italian unification groups have gathered and intend to exile the Pope and take control of the Papal States, so that they may help the Sardinian-Tuscan combined forces to defeat the Austrian Empire.
